How do I remind someone to vote?

Owners can nudge a member whose turn it is. The nudge is an email, one per member and list every 24 hours.

A nudge is a short email that says you are waiting for someone's vote and links to the list.

When you can nudge

  • You own the list (admins can nudge too).
  • Live updates, history and notifications is on for the list.
  • The member has not finished. A member is done when every item is ranked or marked Don't know it, or when they scored every item on a point-scale list.
  • The member has an email address. People you added by name only cannot be nudged.

How to nudge

From the progress report. On a list card, select the "x of y done" pill. Members who are not done come first, with how far they got. Select Nudge next to a name.

From the Scoreboard. On a ranking list, open the member's column menu and choose the nudge.

From Home. When a list you own closes within three days and someone still has their turn, Home shows a reminder such as "Movie night closes Saturday" with Nudge Dev.

What happens after

  • The button changes to "Nudged · 2 h ago" and stays that way for 24 hours. You can nudge a member once a day for each list.
  • The member sees "Anna nudged you" on their card on Home for a week.
  • The email names you and, if the list has one, the Decide by date.
