How do I invite someone by email?

TopX sends invitations by email. Anyone with an email address joins through an invitation.

Send an invitation

1. Open People and select Invite by email.
2. Enter the person's email address.
3. Optional: add a personal message of up to 500 characters.
4. Choose how long the link works: 1 day, 3 days, 1 week (the default), 2 weeks or 30 days.
5. Select Send invitation.

The person gets an email with a link. They select Accept and sign up, create their account with that address and are connected to you.

Invite someone to a list

Only owners (and admins) can add people to a list. Edit the list and open the Crew and sharing step.

1. Select Add New Owner or Add New Participant.
2. In Add a person, enter the name and the email address.
3. Select Add & invite.

The invitation page names the list and shows who is already in it. A list holds at most 20 people, and invitations that are still waiting count towards the limit.

Follow up on invitations

The Invitations card on the People page shows every invitation and its status: pending, accepted or expired.

• Pending: select Resend to send the email again, or Cancel to stop the link from working.
• Expired: select Resend to give the link 7 more days, or Delete it.
• Accepted: select Dismiss to hide it from your view.
