Lists

What are item sets, and how do I use one?

An item set keeps items with their pictures and labels, so you can start new lists from them. Keep a set for yourself or make it public for everyone.

An item set is a collection of items of one category, with their fields, pictures and labels. You might keep all the classes of a game, or the restaurants of a city. A list made from a set takes copies of the items you choose and works with any rating system.

Make a set

  • Open the ⋯ menu of a list you own and choose Save as item set. The set gets the list's name, description, items and pictures.
  • Open Account, then My item sets, and open a set to change it: its name, description, cover and items, and each item's labels.

Labels

Labels sort a set's items into the selections you start lists from. An item can carry up to 10 labels, so one item can be in several selections: a Druid can be Healer, Tank and Leather at once. Type a label on an item and press Enter; labels you already use are suggested. Under Labels you see how many items carry each label, and you can rename or remove a label on every item at once. A set uses at most 100 different labels.

Start a list from a set

In the wizard, choose From an item set. Pick a set under My sets or Public sets, then tick a label to take every item with it, and add or remove single items. The list takes the set's name and category; you can rename it. Lists keep their copies when the set changes or is deleted, and the set never changes because of a list.

You can also mix: in the wizard's Items step, Add from an item set adds items of a set of the list's category next to your own, in a new list or when you edit one. Items the list already has from that set are left out.

Only me or Public

A set is Only me at first: nobody else sees it. Set it to Public to let everyone signed in find and use it. Making a set public asks you to confirm that you may share its pictures (your own photos, or pictures under an open licence with their credit). You can make it private again at any time; lists made from it keep their items.
