How do I let AI suggest the items for a list?

If you do not want to type every item yourself, an AI assistant can suggest them.

Generate a list

1. Tap + New list and choose AI generate.
2. Pick a Category.
3. Choose the Number of Items, from 3 to 20.
4. Under Describe what you want, write what the list is about, in 3 to 500 characters, for example "best sci-fi movies from the 1980s". Tap an example prompt to use it.
5. Tap Generate with AI. This can take 10 to 30 seconds.

TopX then fills the next steps with a name and the suggested items. Next stays grey until the list is generated.

Check the result

Go through the following steps as usual. You can rename the list, change the way of voting, and add, edit or remove items on the Items step. The AI's suggestions are a starting point, so check that the items are right before you create the list.

Improve a list that exists

Owners can also open the ⋯ menu of a list and choose Improve with AI. It suggests items, fills in missing details and tidies names. You see the suggestions first and keep only the ones you want.
