How do I import or export a list?

Import a list

1. Tap + New list and choose Import JSON.
2. Tap Upload File, or paste the file's content into Paste JSON Content.
3. Tap Process JSON. TopX shows any problems it finds, and you fix them in the file.
4. Continue with the next steps. Name, category, way of voting and items come from the file, and you can change them.

A file exported from TopX works as it is. A file you write yourself needs the list's name, its category and its items, and holds up to 1000 items.

Export a list

Owners open the ⋯ menu of a list:

• Download saves a JSON file with the list's name, category, way of voting, scale, dimensions and items. You can import it again, for example to make a copy.
• Export to Google Sheets asks you to sign in with Google and opens a new sheet in your Google Drive.

Participants have no ⋯ menu, so they cannot export. The Google Sheets export is also refused to people who may not see everyone's ballots.
