How do I add TopX to my home screen?

Install TopX as an app on your phone, tablet or computer, from Chrome and Edge in one step, or with Share and Add to Home Screen on an iPhone or iPad.

TopX works in any browser. Installed, it has its own icon on your home screen or in your Dock and opens in its own window, so the lists waiting on you are one tap away.

Choose Install TopX in your account: on a phone it is under You, on a computer in the menu behind your picture. TopX shows what to do in your browser. The steps for each device are below.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Tap Share in Safari's toolbar: at the bottom on an iPhone (sometimes behind ), at the top right on an iPad. In Chrome it is at the top right.
  2. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen .
  3. Tap Add. TopX is now on your home screen.
  4. Open TopX from there and sign in once more: the home screen app keeps its own sign-in.

Safari and Chrome both work. If you opened TopX from a link in an email or chat app, open it in Safari first: those apps cannot add anything to your home screen.

Android

In Chrome, choose Install TopX and confirm with Install. Chrome may also offer it by itself, or under the menu ⋮ as Install app or Add to Home screen. TopX then appears with your other apps.

Chrome or Edge on a computer

Choose Install TopX and confirm. You can also use the install icon at the right end of the address bar. TopX then opens in its own window and from your Start menu, Dock or app launcher.

Safari on a Mac

  1. In Safari's menu bar, choose File.
  2. Choose Add to Dock, then Add.
  3. TopX opens from the Dock in its own window. Sign in there once more.

Opened from an email or chat app

Links in Gmail, Outlook, WhatsApp, Instagram and similar apps often open inside that app. Those built-in browsers cannot install TopX. Choose Install TopX, then Copy link, and paste the link into Safari (on an iPhone or iPad) or Chrome (on Android).

After installing

Open TopX from its icon and sign in once more: an installed TopX keeps its own sign-in, apart from your browser. Long-press the icon (or right-click it on a computer) for New list and My lists. To remove TopX, remove it like any other app; your lists stay as they are.
