Who provides TopX

TopX (topxapp.com and mcp.topxapp.com) is provided by Andreas Bucksteeg, [To confirm: postal address], [email protected]. See the imprint.

The service

TopX lets groups create lists, invite people, rank or score the items and see a combined result. It is free of charge. We may offer paid features later; we announce them and their prices in advance, and nothing you use becomes paid without your consent.

You must be 16 or older to use TopX. We may change, extend or discontinue features. TopX comes without a guaranteed availability. If we shut TopX down, we announce it in the app at least four weeks in advance so that list owners can export their lists.

Your account

You sign in through our sign-in provider Ory with your email address and a password, a one-time code or link, a passkey or your Google account. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with it. You can connect assistants (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to TopX; they act with your permissions until you disconnect them.

Your content

• Lists, items, descriptions, ballots and messages you enter remain yours. You allow us to store and process them as far as needed to run TopX, and to show them to the members of the list according to its settings.
• Members of a list see your name and email address. Owners of a list always see its members' ballots, can change them and can remove members.
• Only invite people who expect to hear from you.

Acceptable use

Do not use TopX to:

• post unlawful, offensive or infringing content;
• send unwanted invitations or reminders;
• disrupt the service, get around its limits or access other people's data.

We may remove content or block accounts that break these rules. We warn you first unless the breach is serious or a warning would be pointless.

AI features

Item suggestions and details generated with AI can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before you rely on them.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes the use of TopX possible at all and on which you may regularly rely), limited to the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of service. Otherwise our liability is excluded.

Ending the use

You can stop using TopX at any time and ask for your account to be deleted at [email protected]. What happens to your data is described in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We announce changes in the app at least four weeks before they apply. If you do not agree, you can stop using TopX and ask for your account to be deleted before they apply.

Applicable law

German law applies. If you use TopX as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
