# TopX > TopX is a collaborative ranking and rating app. Groups make lists, invite participants, rank or score items, and get a consensus result. Traditional ranking puts items in order. Point scale rates items on a 3, 5, 10, 20, or 100 point scale, optionally across weighted dimensions. Lists cover movies, wines, restaurants, books, and other categories. The links below describe the product and its public documentation. Working with personal lists and ballots requires sign-in and the appropriate permissions.
